The easiest way is by taxi. They
will charge you $50-$60, depending on travel conditions.
How do I get
to Manhattan by public transport?
By subway: The nearest subway station is on 242nd St. (Line
1). It is
direct line to Times Square.
By train: Metro North Station is located just 5 minutes drive from the
house. There is a bus stop 5 minutes walk from the house that will take you
to the train station. It is direct line to Grand Central Station.
By bus: Liberty Line Service. Has express buses to Manhattan west and east
By car: Take West Side Highway south. It is an easy drive to the city (West
side). You can also take the Mayor Express Deagan south to FDR Drive (East
What's the best way to get from the Villa to Manhattan and how long

You can get to Manhattan by subway with the number 1 train (red line)
located on 242nd street. You can take a bus to the subway (3-4 stops). The
walking distance to the subway is approximately 20 minutes. In the summer
you can easily walk to the subway, but in the winter, I recommend to take the
The subway ride to the city center (Times Square) is approximately 30 minutes.
The number 1 train goes direct to 42nd street. The approximate total travel time
from the house to Time Square is 45-60 minutes (assuming you take the bus to the
subway station). This subway line also goes to the Village, Ground Zero, Macy's,
Madison Square Garden, Columbia University, Rockefeller Center, Central Park,
Statue of Liberty Ferry, etc.
Roughly how much does it cost to get from
the Villa to Manhattan?
The bus/subway fare is currently $2.00/person. If
you buy a metro card, you
will be able to transfer from bus to subway or vice versa at the cost of one
fare. There is a 2 hours limit for free transfer. For your convenience, I could
provide you with a $20.00 metro card on your arrival upon request. You will be
able to recharge this card or buy a new one on most subway stations.

Yes, there is free parking available at the house. I would recommend renting
a car only if you are planning on taking trips outside Manhattan.
Driving to the city is very easy. The car ride takes only 15-20 minutes, but
you will have to pay for parking space to avoid getting fines.
Parking garage can cost anywhere from $10-$40 per day. Depending on the
